Greetings, I am Shanita Vital-Davis, Director, and Operator of Mrs. Vital Vision Academy (M.V.V.A). I am the visionary leader of Mrs. Vitals Vision Academy.

Mrs. Vitals Vision Academy began as “a vision” from God. At the time, I was working at a local school and was content with being in that setting. I was at home one day when I received my vision. The vision I received was from God and it was the vision of operating an in-home school. It was never a dream of my mine to own or operate a school. I had worked in the field of early childhood education for seven years prior to receiving this vision. I loved being in the classroom and my joy came from being in a classroom where I could grow and develop young minds. While I had received the vision to operate a school, I was conflicted because I was comfortable with the job I had. To me, obedience to God meant modeling trust in his divine wisdom and guidance. Just as a child trusts their parent's guidance, I trusted that God's instructions were for my ultimate benefit. I knew I had to move.

Mrs. Vitals Vision Academy was birthed in my home June of 2015. The process of inception to opening the school was quite the journey! I knew that if I was going to provide a service such as childcare to the community that the school needed to be centered around the principles which I believed in and stood behind. These principles are, education and knowledge, compassion and empathy, collaboration with families, and holistic development.

Education and Knowledge: Recognizing the importance in personal growth, societal progress, and informed decision-making.

Compassion and Empathy: Believing in the importance of understanding and supporting one another in times of need.

Collaboration with Families: Promoting open communication and collaboration between educators and families to support a child's development.

Holistic Development: The development of the whole child—cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and creative aspects while acknowledging that these areas are interconnected and contribute to overall growth.

For me, all these principles shaped my identity as an educator and allowed me to influence and guide parents and children who I supported through the educational tools I provided.

From there, I implemented four holistic approaches to a successful early education program.

With the implementation of these approaches, we have witnessed proven success in not only the child but the family and community.

As you get to know me, you will discover I have an unwavering commitment to each child's unique journey, an approach that values the partnership between parents, teachers, and the community. I firmly believe that the foundation laid during these early years shapes the path towards a successful and fulfilling future.
